Day 1: Van
Arrive in Van and transfer to the hotel. Overnight Van. D

Day 2: Van
Tour Cavustepe, the 8th century B.C. Urartian Citadel, and then the 17th century Hosap Castle, followed by a boat trip to visit the 10th century Armenian Church on the Akdamar Island. Overnight Van. BLD

Day 3: Van-Tatvan-Diyarbakir
Early morning drive to Diyarbakir via Tatvan. Visit the Malabadi Bridge before arriving into Diyarbakir. On arrival to the city visit the Grand Mosque and the famous city walls. Overnight Diyarbakir. BLD

Day 4: Diyarbakir-Mardin-Sanliurfa
Early morning drive to Mardin to visit the ancient town with its famous Monastery. In the afternoon continue on to Sanliurfa to overnight. BLD

Day 5: Sanliurfa-Harran
In the morning drive to Harran, lying on the Mesopotamian plain and one of the oldest continually inhabited places on earth. Then drive back to Sanliurfa andthe old bazaar and the magnificent Holy City complex. Overnight Sanliurfa. BLD

Day 6: Sanliurfa
Free day. Overnight Sanliurfa. BD

Day 7: Sanliurfa-Nemrut Dagi-Adiyaman
Drive to Adiyaman via the huge Ataturk Dam. Late afternoon climb up the Nemrut Mountain to view the stupendous colossal statues, lions and eagles. Overnight Adiyaman. BLD
Remember to take warm clothing, (warm hat, scarf and jacket) as when the sun sets the temperature drops rapidly.  It is also very windy on top of the mountain. 

Day 8: Adiyaman-Yesemek-Antakya
Drive south through the mountains to Antakya. On arrival visit the Antakya Mosaic Museum and St. Peter’s Grotto. Overnight Antakya. BLD

Day 9: Antakya-Tarsus-Kiz Kalesi
Drive to Tarsus, the birth place of St. Paul before continuing a short distance along the coast to Kiz Kalesi. Spend time wandering around the Byzantine Castle of Korykos and the fascinating Necropolis in the corn fields opposite.  Overnight Kiz Kalesi. BLD

Day 10: Kiz Kalesi-Anamur-Bozyazi
This morning visit the ruins of ancient Kanytelis, Uzuncaburc (ancient Diocaesarea), Olba (Ura), the Caves of Heaven and Hell and the tiny museum of Narlikuyu.  Continue along the coast to Bozyazi to overnight. BLD

Day 11: Bozyazi-Anamur-Alanya-Antalya
The highlights this morning will be a visit to the mediaeval castle of Anamur and Ancient Anamurium, a Byzantine city deserted in the 7th century when the Arab armies stormed and pillaged the area. Continue along the coast to Alanya and visit the 13th century Seljuk fortress, one of the most magnificent sights on the coast.  Conclude the day in Antalya and overnight. B

Day 12: Antalya
Tour ends after breakfast. You will be transferred to the airport. B
