Discover Sri Lanka on a Luxury Tailor Made Tour

Traversing Sri Lanka

Introduction

Sri Lanka is a magical island off the southern tip of India. Miles of uncluttered sandy beaches are caressed gently by ocean breeze, gleaming pearl-like in the brilliant sunshine. On the island, frothing waterfalls tumble to form mist – shrouded peaks. Nature blooms, lush and verdant, covering all with her mantle of green. Amidst this bounty flourished a rich ancient culture embellished by the more recent influence of Western colonisers and eastern traders, a mercurial mix of races and religions that result in dynamic, vibrant people. There are not only tourist sites to be visited, but a wealth of wayside markets, handicrafts shops and batil factories to be explored. You will have the opportunity to watch craftsmen at work, gems being mined, tea leaves being plucked; or to venture out and watch elephants frolic and play as they are bathing in rivers, or fishermen on stilts as they haul in the day’s catch. We give you every opportunity to look into the heart of the country, feel the music of the culture and be touched by the warmth of her people.
