Discover a unique and interesting way to get beyond the regular tourist route; to step into the romance of the desert; to experience the timelessness that is India. This is not an itinerary for first-time visitors, nor is it for the fainthearted. Whilst every effort is made to see to your comfort, the safari is, by definition, strenuous and challenging. Physical fitness, reasonable riding skills and familiarity with horses are basic requirements. Your horse, the native Marwari, is a sturdy breed particularly well suited to the desert environment and able to take thirst and heat in stride because of its thin skin. Though this adaptation prevents it from stretching out fully and reduces speed, the resulting action of the legs makes it a very comfortable horse to ride.
