Charming Malaysia – 7 days / 6 nights

Day 1: Kuala Lumpur- Malacca
Arrive in Kuala Lumpur, Pick up at Airport and proceed to the historical city of Malacca. Check in at hotel, evening free at leisure. Accommodation at The Majestic Hotel.

Day 2: Malacca
After breakfast, proceed for the UNESCO Heritage walk.

Visit the Stadthuys, built by the Dutch as the official residence of the Dutch governors before coming to the Christ Church, completed in 1753 with its brightred structure. We then ascend up St Paul’s Hill to visit the St Paul’s Church where St Francis Xavier was temporary buried before his body was moved to Goa, India. As we descend, we shall pass by the Melaka Sultanate Palace which is a wooden replica of the 15thcentury Malay Sultanate palace and Porta de Santiago which is part of the fortress of Fortaleza de Melaka built by the Portuguese. From Porta de Santiago, we take a trishaw ride passing by old Dutch buildings, the Sri PoyyathaVinayagar Moorthi Temple, one of the first Hindu temple in Malaysia, Kampong Kling Mosque, which has a three-tier roof instead of the conventional dome, and a photo stop at the oldest functioning Chinese temple in Malaysia –Cheng Hoon Teng Temple.

We stop for lunch at a Peranakan Restaurant, famous in Melaka for its Nyonya cuisine well known for its lively flavours and aromas. After lunch, proceed for the Malacca River Cruise and alight at a pier close to your hotel. Rest of afternoon free at leisure.

We bring you for dinner at the famous ‘SatayCelup’ which originates from this state. (Sate Celup or Steamboat Satay) is a dish where an assortment of raw and semi-cooked seafood, meat (including raw meat) and vegetables on skewers are dunked into a boiling pot of water and eaten with sauces that are similar to the Malay satay sauce but made with a variety of different ingredients. Accommodation at The Majestic Hotel. BLD

Day 3: Malacca – Kuala Lumpur
Depart for Kuala Lumpur after breakfast. Upon arrival, we shall bring you to the KLCC where you’ll have free time to do a bit of shopping and for lunch. Pick up and transfer to hotel. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Accommodation at Villa Samadhi. B

Day 4: Kuala Lumpur – Ipoh
After breakfast, we do a short city tour of Kuala Lumpur before we proceed to Ipoh. Enroute, we stop for an authentic Hainanese Chicken Chop lunch in Tj. Malim which is very popular amongst Malaysians. Arrive Ipoh and overnight. BL

Day 5: Ipoh – Pangkor Island
After breakfast, we take a short drive in the city passing through the St.Michael’s Institution, the Railway Station and the old town of Ipoh before we proceed to Lumut to catch the ferry to Pangkor island. Arrive Lumut, catch the noon ferry to Pangkor island. Upon arrival, you’ll be met by our representative of Tiger Rock and transfer to your hotel for lunch and check in. Rest of the day at leisure. Day 6: Pangkor Island
Early Breakfast (This is necessary as the tour needs to start early to increase the chances of seeing ceremonies performed at the temples) Proceed to Island tour which includes visit to the Dutch Ford, the Historical Rock, boat making factory, Satay Fish factory, a Chinese Temple and a Hindu Temple and also an overview of the Straits of Malacca. Return to Tiger Rock for lunch. Rest of afternoon free at leisure. BLD

Day 7: Pangkor Island – Kuala Lumpur
After breakfast, transfer to jetty to board boat to Lumut where your car will be waiting to bring you back to Kuala Lumpur for your onward journey. B
