Each of the buildings at the American Colony Hotel in Jerusalem has its own character. The Old Wing was a former Pasha’s residence with a central courtyard and the Pasha’s original sitting room and bedroom, together with his four wives’ rooms, now all available as guest rooms. The East House and Palm House are located directly opposite the main entrance to the hotel and each feature their own character, stunning architecture with vaulted or painted ceilings, individual gardens and an “oasis within an oasis” of quiet and privacy. Relax in the cool, shaded Courtyard full of flowers, take a moment under an olive tree in the East House garden or indulge in your favourite cocktail in the Palm House garden, now the Summer Bar. The American Colony offers a choice of 94 rooms & suites in 4 separate buildings: the Main House, East House, Palm House & the Cow Byre. All buildings are graced with their own unique gardens. The accommodation in Jerusalem old city features all you would expect from a 5-star hotel, including complimentary internet, complimentary soft drinks in the minibar, 24 hour room service and Italian Acqua Di Parma toiletries and ‘Frette’ linens. There is a selection of rooms across the property with their own features including painted or vaulted ceilings, original one hundred year old Jerusalem stone floors, traditional and modern rooms, both large and small so that whatever your taste we can hopefully cater to your needs. There are two Deluxe Pasha rooms that are wheelchair accessible.

The pool is constructed from Jerusalem stone, lined with Italian glass tiles and landscaped with cascading water features. The relaxing, seasonal heated outdoor pool and sundeck area is open from June 1st until October 31st and sometimes dates can be extended weather permitting. A pool lift is available for the disabled. The pool is surrounded by a beautiful border of flowers and trees and is a perfect place to cool off in the center of Jerusalem.
